Hi there.
English versions of Chaos Rising Pokemon cards have been revealed. Chaos Rising is almost a 1 to 1 copy of Japan's Ninja Spinner set featuring Mega Greninja ex.
What is added to the Chaos Rising set are:
- Mega Gallade ex
- Krookodile ex
- Adversity Insurance
The Chaos Rising set releases on May 22, 2026. Prerelease events are from May 9, 2026 to May 17, 2026. These events are where players/collectors can get packs early and particpate in a casual tournament to test out cards and win more packs.
English Chaos Rising Cards
Some of these cards have been covered. Here are English versions of cards like Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex and Ampharos.
A few of the reveals include Trainer cards and some art cards.
The Froakie art card looks nice. Ampharos looks good too.
Mega Gallade ex

Mega Gallade ex is Stage 2 evolution of Kirlia. This Fighting Pokemon has 350 HP, a two retreat cost and Psychic weakness.
The Gale Cut for 1 Fighting Energy deals 50 base damage. If this Pokemon has zero damage on it then this Gale Cut attack does 150 more damage (200 damage).
Marvelous Edge requires 2 Fighting Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal just 240 damage.
Mega Gallade ex is just a strong beatstick. I don't see this being used much as there are easier to use Fighting options out there like Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Mega Lucario ex, Okidogi with Prism Energy.
Krookodile ex

Krookodile ex is a Stage 2 Dark Pokemon with 320 HP, a 3 retreat cost and Grass weakness.
The first attack of Confront requires 2 Dark Energy. It deal 80 damage and the Defending opponent's Pokemon cannot retreat during your opponent's next turn.
Strong Bite requires 2 Dark Energy and 1 Colourless Energy. It does 140 base damage and can do 140 more damage if it has a Pokemon Tool. Combine Binding Mochi and Pecharunt ex so this can do 320 damage. This combo is hard to pull off though as a lot of Energy is needed, you need Krookodile ex in play and Binding Mochi.
Adversity Insurance

Adversity Insurance is a Tool card that has its effect activate if the Pokemon with this tool card is attacked in the Active Spot. The opponent's attack has to deal double damage due to weakness. Then you draw 3 cards.
This tool card is similar to the Lucky Helmet tool card. Lucky Helmet lets you draw 2 cards if the Active Pokemon with Lucky Helmet takes damage from an attack. Lucky Helmet is not used very much so I cannot see Adversity Insurance see much play.
Thank you for reading.
