Hi Hivers,
How are you today? I hope you had a good day with good weather. Today the weather in my place was quite bad, it's rainy and windy. I'm living in a mountainous town of Vietnam. It's at the attitude of 1200m from the sea level. And so it's super cold in rainy and windy days. However, I had a good time going out to explore a beautiful lake. It's Dak Tang Lake located in Dak Tang commune, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province.
Dak Tang is a remote commune of Kon Plong district. It's about 20km from the center of Mand Den town. Its population is very sparse. The people there are mainly Xo Dang ethnic minority people. They live in small villages scattered in the vast mountainous areas of Dak Tang commune. In the previous post, I write about Vi R'Ngheo village. And during the jourrney to explore villages in Dak Tang commune, I came across a hidden pearl, which is Dak Tang lake.
As what the local told me, this lake was formed because of a power plant near by. Before it was a huge valley, and then the government built a power plant in the region, so the vast valley became a beautiful lake. I don't don't how large the lake is. But as the local told me, it takes more than three hours to travel by boat from one side to the other of the lake. And even though it's a really large lake, I don't know why we cannot see it on the map. Maybe there are not many people know and come here.
Despite of bad weather, I had a great time there exploring the lake. Covered by green forests and mountains, the water in the lake is so green too. Driving car around the lake, I discovered so many different beautiful hidden corners of the lake.
This is Virin, a small village of Xo Dang ethnic minority on the top of the hill besides of the lake.
Going around the lake, we can easily find some beautiful waterfalls which are from the surrounding mountains and flowing into the lake.
Below is a hidden corner of the lake where people have built floating houses to enjoy the beauty of it.
Going around the lake, we can find so many different hidden beautiful places of the lake. I hope you can enjoy them too.
