The U.S. government has spent billions of dollars on the war conflict in Syria and yet there is still no end in sight to the fighting.
The conflict has meant disastrous consequences for hundreds of thousands of innocent people, mostly women and children, who have either lost their lives or been forced to move.
It's estimated that at least 45 percent or more of the population has been displaced and the loss of life is said to be somewhere upwards of 450,000 deaths.
And this week, they can add a few hundred more to the list.
Airstrikes kill more than 500+...
The media was quick to say that the deaths were the fault of the Syrian and Russian governments, as a part of their effort to combat threats in the region.
But there might be a crucial bit of information that they are conveniently leaving out of the narrative. Other parties have alleged that the 500+ deaths are the direct fault of the various groups that are currently occupying the Eastern Ghouta region. These are groups such as the US military, along with UK, Nusra, and Jaysh al-Islam.
The blame for the loss of life has been placed on them because those groups allegedly refused repeated efforts from the Syrian government to have civilians evacuated from the area.
And this isn't the first time that the Western media has been accused of trying to distort the facts, in an effort to paint a more favorable scenario that would support their foreign policy agenda in the region.
So long as the West and its allies maintain their foreign policy agenda, in providing support to “rebels” in these regions, then they are only going to prolong the suffering for not only people in Syria, but for their own as well.
The U.S. hasn't made it any secret that they want regime change in Syria, despite backtracking efforts made to try and put forth the idea that they would allow the people in that region to decide. Interventionists in Washington aren't going to give up on their plans that easily, to them it obviously doesn't matter how many innocent people are killed or how many much it's going to cost.
The taxpayers who foot the bill for this conflict, were told that the battle was going to promote freedom and security—but it's done quite the opposite. US foreign policy instead, is responsible for creating an unbelievable amount of death, misery, and destruction.
Wondering when, if ever, US authorities might take the time to pause and consider that maybe they should start to mind their own business. It's hard to imagine that they would ever humble themselves to admit any mistake made; take up their things and leave. Some have suspected, such as former Congressman Ron Paul, that the US will likely go broke first before they move to change their foreign policy.
“I believe it was the financing of the Soviet system that brought it down as much as anything; that's the way most authoritarian empires end, and I think that's the way our system is going to end” - Ron Paul.
For a nation that's already trillions in debt, it doesn't come across as a wise decision to continue funneling billions on empire building overseas.
Has the foreign policy that the US has operated with for the last several decades been carried out for the interest of the American people? On the contrary, the results that have been reaped from aggressive actions committed overseas have caused harm to Americans in many ways. Sooner or later the deep state is going to realize that they can't continue trying to run the world....or will they?
