Who knew that instant noodles were so dangerous?
Thousands of children are sent to the emergency room every single year because of burns that result from eating in instant noodles.
The instant noodle process is so dangerous, that 1 in 5 are at risk of being burned from their instant cup of noodle soup.
I'll admit, I have consumed plenty of noodles over the years and I didn't have any idea they were so dangerous. Why rely on education to prevent these injuries, why haven't authorities resorted yet to force and violence via the state to try and put a stop to the danger being posed by noodles? Take the noodles off the shelves! That will prevent the burns won't it? Save the children! Thousands of yearly victims, you'd think that they'd have justified such a ban by now.
Where is the concern for safety???
The "cooling curve" on noodles is slower than for other soups, and in comes the risk of children being burned.
Aside from the danger posed with cooking noodles, they also serve little purpose as they offer arguably no nutritional value. One man who tried to eat nothing but instant noodles for 30 days reported that he had found the experience to be less than ideal after it left him feeling lethargic and sick, suffering headaches and mood-swings. One nutritionist from Indonesia, D. R. Annur, maintains that instant noodles, like all processed foods, can trigger cancer cells and that this has fueled many concerns; prompting people to allege that eating noodles might cause cancer.
Launching a war against noodles though, would require infringing upon the natural rights of people, their personal choice to consume, make, or trade noodles etc.
Sure, there might be danger involved with eating instant noodles, but that is your risk to take.
If we were to take away noodles from the shelves and start ticketing, arresting, and locking-up noodle consumers, then those actions would erode individual liberty which in-turn poses a risk to everyone. You don't keep someone safe by violating their natural rights, even if you could keep thousands of children potentially safe from being burned. The concern for potential danger isn't a reasonable justification enough to limit freedom, because you only set the environment for perpetual violations to liberty to be made in the name of 'keeping you safe'.
