2008 : (to self) "what is this bitcoin? my room mate has thousands. he said they are cool and he will send me some. i should google it. oh no, what time is my flight, i need to pack..."
early 2013 : buys bitcoin, litecoin, and dogecoin. "better late than never." makes terrible micro-trades on cryptsy and kraken. lost a few dollars and successfully procrastinated real job. writes down passwords. "blockchain will be important someday."(continues navigating analog life with the success of a gerbil building a home in the great barrier reef.)
spring 2017: (gerbil finds correct habitat. health returns, rapidly evolves into three-toed sloth.) could be better, could be worse, but mostly optimistic. finds passwords. excited by ethereum. made some decent trades. blockchain has been digested, proteins are forming, "these organs could be useful." look promising for 'creators', i should be involved. investment isn't an option (i am a 'creator') but there has to be a way. clicks many links.
now: bubble brings more confidence and hope. "will it last?" instinct function returns : overall trend is up. feeling social. "steemit?" signup. long passwords feel secure. "this has potential." back into the ocean. told i am a redfish. borrow redfish suit, doesn't fit my long arms. uncomfortable. but will attempt swimming anyway. after all, bubble confidence.
