DAY TWO OF THE STEEMJET SPORTS COMPETITION
The second day of the steemjet competition was lit as we recorded yet another success and massive on boarding of all who participated in the competition as well as SPECTATORS.
The final of the competiton comprised of two teams that won in the previous day.
Biochemistry department Vs Microbiology department
It was indeed a very tough one, the two teams were full of energy and played like their life depended on the cup.
You could see the cup on display, so there were lot of emotions and drama
Biochemistry department took the lead through a goal scored in the 25th minute.
They fought really hard to preserve the goal until the 50th when they microbiology players rallied round to equalize.
The game entered extra time and was heading towards a penalty shoot out when a beautiful volley was sent by the captain of the team and the result was a goal that broke the hearts of the Biochemistry students
I was particularly touched by the resilent attitude of the Biochemistry departments, but they couldn't hold on till the end
