According to a blog post published on the JSECoin blog they just launched a PHP API wrapper for their blockchain.
For those of you not knowing what this is, well, it's a small PHP package that makes interaction with the JSECoin a breeze, allowing you to do all sort of operations, like getting the balance of an account, exporting a coin, making a transfer, etc.
While this may seem like a trivial endeavor, I think it's far from it. Choosing PHP was a strategic decision, because a lot of legacy code in PHP is still lingering around over the internet (think only the huge coverage that WordPress still has on the web). So webmasters having sites written in PHP, from Drupal to WordPress, and from Laravel to Code Igniter, now have a way to seamlessly interact with the JSECoin blockchain.
Oh, you don't know what JSECoin is, either?
Well, it must be that you're new around here, because I wrote extensively about this project, ever since they launched it, about a year ago. JSECoin is a browser-based mining blockchain, aiming to help webmasters to monetize their internet properties. Instead of running ads from, let's say, AdSense, you just add a small snippet to your website and your visitors may be able to opt-in to browser mining. Meaning that, while they are browsing your site, the browser will be doing some light Proof Of Work stuff (less than 10% CPU), which will generate JSE tokens for the webmaster. And if they opt-in, but at some point they want to get out, they can do this very easily too.
JSECoin is still running their ICO, by the way, and, as fast as I know, they will be doing this until October (or until the hard cap is reached).
If you want to know more about this, have a look at their site.
Disclaimer: I support this project, I own a certain amount of JSE tokens and the link above is an affiliate link, meaning I will get a small reward if you sign up using it.
