As one of my followers, Hive account@fitinfun, pointed out in a reply, Steemit.com is now a top 1500 website, according to Alexa.com.

Steemit.com is now more popular than, for instance, bitcoin.com (1570), ethereum.org (7009), cointelegraph.com (2456), to name a few crypto-related websites, but also over news.ycombinator.com (1674) and very close to mashable.com (1007, and going down).

The second largest audience, according to Alexa, comes from South Korea.

Which is not surprising at all, IMHO.
