The 2018 cryptocurrency crash has been following the same pattern as the 2014 crash.

I don't think we've seen the bottom yet, especially for Bitcoin. As I've said before, a break of the support at 5800 would probably mean a sharp test of the 4000 level. I just haven't seen the desperation we saw at $152 yet. We haven't seen much volume here at these levels, like there usually are at tops and bottoms of the market.
Of course, fundamentals do play a part, and no pattern ever repeats perfectly, so maybe the bottom is in. Or, this won't be a U-shaped correction, but that seems less and less likely as it plays out.
Regardless, I see 2019 as a huge recovery year for the crypto markets, and massive new highs by 2020.
