I know everyone loves to hate Season 3, and yes it's very different from 1 & 2.
The show was always degeneracy, and the worst kind of modern social-propaganda, sex, and drugs etc.
But it was always executed with extreme competency and style, and that's still true.
I mean, just look at this shot.
This is the modern western in cinema.
The drug-dealing thieves blaze off to meet their enemies with a hedge of dust flying off the dual rear-wheels of a Ford F-350. Leaving the ranch and the light for the shadow of the uncertainty that lay ahead of them in the beautiful bare hills of Southern California.
This show is shot beautifully, and the color work is deep. This establishing shot could come off as under-saturated, but in reality the show has a lot of saturation and bright lighting/colors. Something it's always had.
But the first 2 seasons were set in the more suburban wealthy California, and this season takes place much closer to the Southern border.
