Who doesn't love to see what they will be selling in some foreign market, shopping in places I have never been to and some, never even heard of. There is always a curiosity attached to foreign ingredients, different produce or any product sold. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Oh, beautiful is the island of Bonaire. A Dutch municipality located just off the coast of Venezuela, it is a surfer's and diver's paradise and for those that have a love for nature.

Grab your gear and let's head out to some beaches! #MarketFriday is beaching it today! Surf's up!!! A good time will be had by all! Did I say that you just pull up to the beach and you can do a walk off with your scuba gear? I had never been anywhere like this. The island is made up of coral.

The beaches are not white sandy strands of paradise. However, the entire island is surrounded by reefs that are healthy and an abundance of sea life. I was driving down the road and a flock of flamingos flew overhead. Flamingos. I have never seen one fly, nor live in nature. I jumped out of my car to get a better look. Super cool!

Jibe City is the island's premier windsurf center. Bonaire is situated so they have great trade winds, making Bonaire one of the best windsurfing locations in the world.

Paddleboarding is extremely popular there also.

Instructors are available for beginners to expert, with all of the latest equipment. Next time, I want to try windsurfing.

Surf's up!!! Surfing is big business here. The waves are awesome and age is not a factor. From barely walking to hardly walking anymore, they come to surf.

I checked around a bit and scuba varied widely at the organized dives. Surfing and any other watersport seemed to be around the same price. Driving from place to place was a breeze because they drive on the right-hand side like we do here in the States. Yay!

Top of the line windsurfing equipment is offered at this all in one complex. Food, drink, souvenirs... They have everything, and then some. Come on in, the water is fine!! It is quite the operation they have here and it is a diver - surfer - windsurfer paradise. I can see being here for a while and not ever being bored. The distictive beauty of the land, the exquisteness of the flora and fauna, the pink flamingos flying right over my head.

And the people. Oh, my! They radiate warmth and friendship. I feel welcomed and included in their circle. It is most humbling.

Oh, yes. My people. Scuba people.

Bonaire is a wonderful small island that has been designated a National Park because of all the coral reefs just feet from the shore. The people are friendly and the roads are easy to navigate. Because of her desert like, arid landscape, it is not for everybody, but it is for this somebody,
