The reflective pools surrounded the mosque amplifying its beauty. the striking white and gold colors shining in the sun are transformed at night by a unique lightning system which reflects the phases of the moon.
The construction began in 1996 and wasn't completed till 2016. during this time more than 3000 workers took part in its construction. Its made up of mostly natural materials such as marble, stone, gold, crystals and semi-precious stones.

The Shiek Zayed Grand Mosque is the only one in the emirates that can be entered by non-muslims.
It is beautiful from day to night, catching the sunset from here is something I would totally recommend. As you browse through my photos below, you'll understand why this Grand Mosque deserves a dedicated blog post.
The inside of the mosque features the traditional Moroccan artwork, the artwork on the wall is was unbelievable. There was stained glass, mosaics, stone floors with intricate design, curved doorways and arches, beautiful carpets inside, it was overwhelming how beautiful it was.

When the mosque is not used for prayer it is open to the public, however, there are strict dress codes. Women must be completely covered, including long sleeves to the wrist, trousers or a long skirt to ankle, and a craft or wrap to cover your head.
The impressive building is visible from a far and as you approach, the grandiose of the structure will impress you.
