My city is located on a rocky slope and it's surrounded by hills on one side and the sea on the other. So here we have a special microclimate that is different than the climate around us. We have sunshine in the city when it's rainy and cloudy just few kilometers away. So it is very hard to predict the weather and it kinda never happens what they say on TV. The famous meteorologists avoid mentioning my city on TV because they know that they can make a big fail in the career. So we never know for sure what to wear and how to prepare ourselves for what's coming from the skies.
But still, we have our own methods for weather predictions, my grandma is one of them, although not so reliable as one I met today! So first, let me tell how it happened.
I was passing yesterday morning in front of a church that is near to my office. This old lady (down on the photo) was leaving the church and started staring at me.
I noticed that she walked just behind me, but when she realized that she and her cane can't walk as fast as me, she called me:
"Young man! Excuse me for bothering you, I just noticed that your neck is stiff and I wanted to ask you do you expose your neck to the sunshine and warm temperature?"
Well, when an unfamiliar person approaches me with questions about my neck stiffness, I usually have two different answers, the choice depends on the situation:
a) Go to hell and take care of your own business!
b) I just took a viagra and it got stuck in my throat!
But since she just left the church, I decided to be polite and told her that I have some specific health problem.
Then she said:
"Me too!"
I didn't say anything on that, but these were my thoughts:
"I am 32, you must be at least 92 and we have the same health problems! Beautiful!"
Then she mentioned that it's gonna be a cloudy day because of the pain in her neck! Suddenly I realized that I talked to a professional meteorologist for this area. I decided to use this opportunity to extract as much data as it was possible, so I started to ask her some things.
