Solid run for me. Best my legs have felt in the few days that I've been back at it. I won't go higher then 4 miles for the next couple weeks. I don't want to push my mileage up to fast and risk getting injured.
Typically the rule of thumb I was taught was to increase mileage by no more then 5-10% a week. I'm hoping to run about 21 miles this week and around 23 next week. My jumps early on might be higher then those percentages though.
I'm also planning on running my first race after 3 months of running. It'll probably just be a 5K so that I can figure out the type of shape I'm in. This way I can start developing my interval and tempo workout paces.
I'm also being careful with my training since my sleep has been pretty rough. Between a busy work schedule and my kiddo waking up super early I'm not getting the rest I should. This could lead to higher injury chances also. So... Im going to play it safe!
