It felt good to be outside and running again after a few days off. Had to take some time off since an old injury was bothering me.
This is the same injury I talked about in my first confessions of a division 1 athlete post. This injury actually had nothing to do with athletics. I was playing around with my cousin during vacation and happend to step backwards through a glass panel in the door. I sliced through 3 toe extensors tendons and both peroneal tendon in my left ankle.
Every so often the outside of my ankles gives me problems and I'm not really sure why. But I always play it safe when it does bother me.
Anyways, had to push my kiddo in the running stroller today during my run and ran a little over 3 miles which felt pretty good. It is quite bit more difficult when running uphill with the stroller though.
I'm just trying to keep the pace I'm running easy and not push to much. So far I've been mostly successful at this!
I also finally met a goal. I hit One Million Sports Tokens, yesterday actually!
Thanks to those who have interacted with me the past few weeks. The interaction makes writing her much more enjoyable and I at least know a few people are reading what I've written.
I'll keep pushing forwards here as it makes more sense for me to work hard here then directly on steemit.
Either way, I'll keep writing, reading and growing with the community.
