I've finally reached 300 followers! Since I've started my comeback to the platform roughly 18 days ago I've doubled my followers and added 180 SP or so.
I haven't been as active as I was hoping to be due to some unforeseen circumstances. That is okay though because that won't keep me away from this platform.
My next goal is to get to 1000 SP and 64 reputation and I think I can do that within the next month or so. Hopefully, it'll take less time than that. Currently, on steemwhales.com I'm sitting in 792nd place for overall rep and I hope that I can keep moving up that list. Although I feel like I have a long way to go!
I know 300 seems super small compared to many of the post that have been popping up thanking people for following. Although, I've slowly gained followers from posting and posting actual comments on others post and I think that is the best way to get followers for the following reasons.
Posting and well thought out comments will eventually cause others to recognize your name among the masses that are adopting the SteemIt Platform.
You can't build a rapport with others if you are following 2000 people, whos post you didn't actually read anyways. Without this rapport, it is doubtful that you will grow on Steemit or on any other blogging platform for that matter.
Not really a reason, but, it is fun to read what other have posted and to communicate with them!
