Los Angeles, CA: Earth Bean Coffee is a small-batch roaster committed to providing 100% Organic and Fair Trade Certified™ coffees. The roasting house was founded by couple Joan and David Leclerc after they discovered that coffee beans (used to make their favorite beverage) are on “The Dirty Dozen” list - a list compiled by the FDA and USDA of the 12 most commonly and highly contaminated foods with pesticides and chemicals.
Earth Bean Coffee provides people with coffee that they can feel good about. Their coffees are selected for their purity, fair-trade farming practices and delicious tasting notes. The roasting house has curated beans from four single origins - Columbia, Ethiopia, Peru & Sumatra - and has one signature blend - Secret Garden - which highlights the couple’s favorite tasting notes of their single origin beans. David is head roaster at their location in Downtown Los Angeles, opening to the public in Summer 2017.
David & Joan see an enormous opportunity to have a positive impact through coffee. “As the second largest commodity, the impact coffee has on both people and our planet is basically as big as it gets” - Joan. To support these causes, Earth Bean Coffee

• partners with organizations and companies that share their views, like farm to table restaurants and organic cafés.
• makes every effort to reduce, reuse & recycle. Their bags are made of 100% recycled material and are biodegradable.
• plants a tree for every order through their partnership with 501(c)3 non-profit One Tree Planted. The couple acknowledges that the coffee industry contributes to deforestation, but by planting a tree for every order they become part of the solution.
