The only time that chasing after the wind will be a good thing is when you are out on the ocean in a sail boat.
Yet majority of us are actually doing that exact same thing now, ---> Chasing the wind.
Why?
I hope that you will understand why, after you have read this article through.
What are you doing now? What do you plan to do after 5 years? How do you picture yourself and your family 10 years and beyond from this moment?
Good? Nice or great?! If so, you are very lucky. You are one of the very few people, who can imagine a very good future.
So, in your vision, what sort of good things have you finally acquired? Expensive car? Maybe a yatch? A grand house?
In your vision of that nice future, have you bought the jewelries and gadgets that people usually want to buy? Have you acquired properties and maybe erected your very own building in a posh location? Maybe you even got a successful business going on?
There, amidst all your acquisitions, is your smiling happy family.
Then the inevitable comes. You have to grow old, weak and die. ( I hate to break the bubble, but let us be realistic )
What will happen now to all your acquisitions? All the skills and knowledge you worked hard to get? What will happen to all your projects? What will happen to your loved ones? Will the person that will have to inherit your work and riches be AS GOOD AS YOU? We both know it can never happen, because all of us are unique and what you are, cannot be the make-up of another. But there you are, your death will force you to entrust all of them, ALL OF THEM! to someone else, which can then decide on how to handle things WITHOUT YOU or YOUR THOUGHTS about how things should be done.
This proves the point that without LIFE, we will only be chasing the wind. No matter how good and noble our work and motives. No matter how WELL we do in our lives. Death makes them useless. Because we will have to forcefully lose them in the end.
Grim?! It is the exact reason why many do shy away in even contemplating these things, because they are grim. Yet there is a very good reason why we should consider these, NOW. Because only by considering them now, can we get our only chance to get out of this trap. FOR REAL.
Our situation is similar to a rat caught in a trap. Unless we can come to a point of awareness and admission of our real situation that indeed we are, we will never look for a WAY OUT.
Okay, let us assume that you have appreciated the importance of this issue and have understood that indeed we ALL are just chasing after the wind. Our next important question would be: What can be done to escape this situation?
Simple. The solution is so simple we often miss it. In order for our efforts NOT to be wasted by death.
WE MUST LIVE FOREVER.
Now that really sounds WAY OUT THERE! Live forever? Absurd! (You may think "this is BS" and go elsewhere). I really hope you continue reading though. Because there is no other way, but what I am about to tell you.
How the heck, can a person live forever?
Let me try to explain this as simple as I can. Our lives are a kind of force, a power if you will. Like all force, there is a source of life. If we can be connected to that source, there will be no reason why our lives will RUN OUT.
Imagine a rechargeable battery, it's charge may grow weak but after being connected to its charger, its charge grow strong again, all electrical appliances also illustrate this case, when they are connected to the source of electricity, THEY FUNCTION as they are supposed to function, once disconnected, either they slowly or abruptly stop.
It is similar with our lives, we need our LIFE SOURCE. Or just wait, till we stop operating.
That source is no other than God.
But there is no God!!! (so say the atheists)
If you do believe that there is no God, I won't argue with you. You are entitled to believe the way you want. All I request from my atheist readers is to reconsider this issue. For me, LIFE CAN ONLY COME FROM THE LIVING BEFORE IT.
This is the reason why, despite massive fundings and technologies available for many atheist scientists, no one among them can prove that they can CREATE something LIVING from non living things. NOT EVEN A SINGLE CELL lifeform. Let it sink in.
Indeed, all the life we witness, came from the original source who created each and every living things, according to their kinds.
Humanity is meant to LIVE FOREVER, we were created that way, but there was a condition. Death will only enter the story IF THE FIRST PAIR OF HUMANS DO SOMETHING PRECISELY FORBIDDEN FOR THEM TO DO. I trust that you are somehow familiar with how that story went.
Are we then doomed to ALL DIE? No. God in His infinite wisdom, left a way out so that those who wants to LIVE FOREVER may do so.
We just need to accept a contract. Keep it. Then we can live forever.
This is what can be found in Deuteronomy 30
5 so that you may again take possession of the land where your ancestors once lived. And he will make you more prosperous and more numerous than your ancestors ever were.
6 The Lord your God will give you and your descendants obedient hearts, so that you will love him with all your heart, and you will continue to live in that land.
7 He will turn all these curses against your enemies, who hated you and oppressed you, ....
9 The Lord will make you prosperous in all that you do; you will have many children and a lot of livestock, and your fields will produce abundant crops. He will be as glad to make you prosperous as he was to make your ancestors prosperous,
Those are God's part of the deal. Our part is outlined below:
19 I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God's blessing and God's curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.
20 Love the Lord your God, obey him and be faithful to him, and then you and your descendants will live long in the land that he promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."
Simple arrangements right?
Basically that is the way that God has provided for us all to escape "chasing after the wind." To escape dying.
Unique and a sure-shot! Why waste this one sure chance?
I hope that, you understood what I am trying to say. I want you to, not only earn DOLLARS, or wealth. I want you to EARN LIFE.
Seek God, while there is that chance.
