DIY : handmade beaded butterfly

Greetings and welcome to my post, it's an honour being here today and I am wishing you all a happy week. Crafting is a wonderful way to express creativity and today I decided to try out something new for a change. Beading is one of the most intricate yet rewarding forms of arts, and among all I decided to create a butterfly using beads and a handmade beaded butterfly can serve as a decorative piece or a gift. Using some of my crafting skills I was able to create a handmade beaded butterfly on a piece of cardboard and here's how I made it.

• Waste carton
• Acrylic colour
• Brush
• pen
• Evostik gum
• Beads
• maskin tape
• Paper cutter
• Charcoal white pencil

STEP BY STEP PROCESS

step I

I measured the waste carton 10 inches by 7 inches. After the measurement, I cut some pieces of the carton and gummed them by the edges of the square carton. I then use masking tape to conceal the rough edges.

Then using my black acrylic colour I coloured the rectangular cardboard black colour.

step 3

Next I drew the shape of the butterfly on my black rectangular cardboard using my pen and a charcoal pencil, I began with the head, tail, body and then I drew the wings on the two sides and I finally drew the antenna.

Using my evostic gum, I then began to gum the beads on the butterfly. First I started with the edges of the first two wings.

Then I used the beads to complete the remaining part of the wings below.

Using my light green bead's and evostic gum, I then carefully gum them to the head, body and antenna of the butterfly.

I gummed purple bead in a pattern of the first two wings, then I applied orange bead's in the remaining space left.

Similarly, I then repeated the same process in step 7 at the last two wings below.

Then I covered the middle part of the butterfly with multiple colour bead's to add a beautiful touch to my craft and I was finally done.

This piece exemplifies how beadwork , n amazing skills continues to thrive as a meaningful and visually stunning form of artistic expression. With just a few materials and some patience, anyone can craft a stunning beaded butterfly that can serve as a keepsake, a fashion accessory, or a meaningful handmade gift.
