Looking through old screenshots, I noticed that I used to have 2750 Syscoin on Mintpal, the exchange that was looted by Ryan Kennedy after he bought it. That would be worth $550 today! And Syscoin is still undervalued, I think.
In terms of prices at the time, I never lost more than a few hundred dollars on exchanges that were looted or hacked, but in current prices it would be a four-figure sum altogether. Of course, this is like complaining about paying a high tax rate (which I don't, because we don't have capital gains tax in the Netherlands).
