I'm so happy to be a member of this wonderful platform, I want to share to you how I got engaged through out the weekend.
My friend's sister was to be wedded traditionally according to the ethics of Ibibo culture. since the traditional marriage was on Saturday we had to prepare and leave on Thursday to help her do somethings in preparation for the wedding.
The venue for the wedding was at Itu L.G.A Akwa Ibom State, I thank God for the long journey was smooth, we withness so many accident on the way but we were saved by God's grace ππ. finally we arrived at the venue although it was last, but I was so excited that we've reached our destination. I was so tried but we needed to do the needful by helping in the kitchen.
I woked up by 5.00am, I felt grateful to God for the new day ππ. When I entered the kitchen I was surprised that the village women were already there, putting so many things in place,I saw so many things cooking ingredients like....Afang leave, water leave, crayfish, pepper, parboiled rice, chicken, Maggie,salt, dry fish, Sense leave,Atama leave, Aditan leave, stock fish, and lot's more food items.
so I was fucusing on Afang, it's preparation and the processes.
The first step is to bring the Afang leave for slicing, and the materials needed are chopping stick, a good sharpen knife, a tray, a pistol and a mutter
The second step is to slice the Afang leave into sizable shapes, so that it will be easy pound and get smooth fast.
The third step which is the final step: Is to pound the sliced leave until it is smooth enough for cooking, this stage requires alot of energy so as to make it smoothππ
The marriage proper was made,i toke some pictures with my friends,
I really enjoyed my weekend π₯°π₯°π₯° although it was stressful, it all ended in Praise π€
