animal photography - deer in my backyard

I'm fortunate to live in a small mountain village. I've been told that a black bear and mountain lion have been sighted in my neighborhood, but I've not yet seen them. What I do see regularly, aside from the grey squirrels, birds and a long-eared rabbit, are deer - they have a trail that cuts through my backyard. That makes it difficult to grow any vegetables or keep fruit trees, but it's wonderful to look out my window and see one or more deer close by. For this photo I only had to walk out my patio door; the deer are easily startled but if you walk slowly then their curiosity will keep them from running away too soon.
