portrait photography - entry 1 for #portraitcontest theme "Face/Body Paint"

This photo taken at a cross-dressing event in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, is my entry for theme Face/Body Paint in the Portrait Photography Contest, #portraitcontest, by Hive account@portraitcontest with guest judge Hive account@sallyswitchblade.

For a few years I lived at walking distance from Golden Gate Park (and Ocean Beach) in San Francisco, CA, USA. I used to go on photo walks almost every weekend - mostly in Golden Gate Park because there was always a good change to run into something interesting. The event where this photo was taken was no exception: it was a gathering of a large group of flamboyant men dressed in extravagant clothing, with makeup to match. In cases like this when people see that I'm taking a photo they more-often-than-not strike a pose, consciously or unconsciously. So I usually try to take photos when they are unaware of the photo being taken, to get a more natural capture of the scene.
