Whiles doing all this she has to still take care of the family, doing all there is to do and complaining only to herself. When you knew not of yourself she was already in motion for your survival.
During this period the mother's ability to fight infections (immunity) will be markedly reduced just to tolerate the growing child, leaving them prone to so many diseases. They get gestational diabetes and hypertension. The least talked about labour the better!
After all this and more, how could you possibly ever pay back? 😢😢😢
When the baby comes that is not all, the mom continuous to do almost everything, taking care of the child/children and having to take care of the father too. She is the one everyone looks to when things are not right. When things get tough the father can go out to get some tots and stay out long but can the mom? She has to be there, providing you with the only food you can eat (breast milk).
Now you are on your own, you are no more connected to her via the umbilical cord where she have provide you with life, now you can walk around and you probably love her so much. You are struggling to make it in life so you can make her happy. You are doing all you can and you are very hopeful that soon it will be better for you and her.
Unfortunately, time never waits for us, ask yourself how old she was when she delivered you. That should inform you that she is aging. Whiles you are struggling to reach a position where u can do 'big things' for her remember not to ignore the little things you can do right now.
Call her, tell her how much you love her, buy her small gifts and you don't have to wait for mothers day to celebrate her. Make her laugh. Give her hope by sharing your dreams with her. Let her know you are thinking of her, let her know you have her in your dreams. Tell her about the kind of house and cars you want to buy for her.
The fact is that your mom probably do not want any of those things but it calms her heart to hear those things and it makes her happy. Happiness makes her more healthy.
When you finally make it while she is still alive make her the queen #1.
