Monas is an abbreviation of the National Monument. Familiar people call it monument. Monas is a memorial monument with a height of 132 meters built with the aim to commemorate or commemorate the struggle and resistance of the Indonesian people against the Dutch East Indies.
At the peak of Monas there is a gold weighing 38 kg. 28 kg of gold is a contribution from one of the traders from Aceh who had become the richest man in Indonesia. The merchant is named Teuku Markam.
