I present to you part 1 of my live set from Friday night at Geodesic. I opened for Quincy Jones, Von Gage, Mic Crenshaw, Gaia Experiment, and @AlaisClay. This event was an essential linking of tribes between Oregon and Colorado within the revolutionary conscious Hip-Hop movement.
Before I began my set, I explained what conscious revolutionary Hip-Hop meant to the crowd, as it occurred to me that many people had seen those words in the promo for the event, but did not actually understand their meaning. I then led into a spoken word piece I wrote that is called Life is a Dream. I then threw down my first track of the evening that was also a guided meditation called Breathe.
All the sets at this event were dope, everyone I spoke with including the owner of the venue was thoroughly impressed, and he wants us to organize another show there that he said he will help make a lot bigger. Mic Crenshaw and Alais Clay's sets were exceptionally nuts (Von Gage and Quincy were also phenomenal in their own rights), and I will be posting videos of those sets as well in future posts after I upload and edit them properly (as well as part 2 of my set). My buddy also recorded a higher quality version of my set on an HD camera, and will post that as well after he has sent me the files.
So without further ado, here is part 1 of the video from my set:

Here is the text version of my explanation of Revolutionary Conscious Hip-Hop:
"Hip Hop was born from a place of light, and then was led down a path of darkness through the birth music that promoted violence, sexism, racism, idolized money, ego, and the glutenous consumption of alcohol and other harmful drugs that do not posses properties of enlightenment. This is why they say hip-hop is dead(or at least one of the reasons).
Professor Griff of Public Enemy - one of the founding fathers of Hip-Hop, coined Hip-Hop as an acronym: H-I-P-H-O-P = Higher Infinite Power Healing Our People. We are reactivating this activism actively - and are resurrecting this so called "dead" hip-hop from the grave, making us necromancers freeing slaves.
That is why we are conscious revolutionary hip hop artists, and not just emcees.
And as conscious revolutionary Hip Hop artists, we have come to cast spells and enchantments to bless all humans across the globe with truth and love, and lift them from the oppressive hexes and curses that the evil tyrants of this world have placed all around us. All the tools we need to destroy ourselves has been provided in our society, so it is our responsibility as emcees to provide means of soul activation illumination, to reverse the brain washing hypnotic spells of corporate dominance while lifting the vales of ignorance, and infusing the mindset that indifference of the aware is the true evil. We all share these responsibilities once we have woken up to the woes of the world, so its time to come together, and exercise our true power to heal our planet, and ourselves."

Blessings everyone & stay tuned - into the right frequencies
