Hello
apple lovers and #Travellers...
This is my story from Pante Menye, Takengon, Central Aceh. Well, there is a new tourist icon named Pante Menye here, I have mentioned the name of this tourist spot in my previous story here. It's true what the tiktokers and the short video makers had said. Don't expect too much with the arrival and excitement of new tourist attractions, because too massive exposure will get disappointing results when you see the reality. Expectations and Reality are sometimes incompatible. And it's happening to me right now. Hehe.
Try to look at this photo before, .....
Very beautiful isn't it?? I also don't deny this photo is very beautiful even before coming to the place in real, I can imagine how beautiful a pier with a unique shape and interesting view is, and I also imagine on top of the pier. I was provoked and also provoke my sister and her family to come here together and see this new tourist icon. They agreed, and the day of execution came.
The trip from the center of Takengon city to this place does not take much time, only about 1 hour. Along the way, we will be treated to a panoramic view of the beauty of Lut Tawar Lake, even signs that our destination to this place also seems to be blessed by God, Yes. The accompanying clouds are very beautiful and hopefully, it's a sign from God.
Unfortunately and annoying. Arriving here, there was only an extraordinary traffic jam, even the side of beauty that had been imagined seemed to have disappeared. Yes, there are too many people here, crowding, all wanting to take pictures and all wanting to enter jostling even some of us entered without taking tickets, not because we didn't want to pay, but the ticket clerk drowned in the crowd. And what happens next, you will know it, especially after you see some of these photos.
However, it's good for me to keep explaining about this place. The name of this tourist spot is Pante Menye, located in Bintang District, Central Aceh Regency here. This name is originally taken from the local language, the Gayo language. "Pante" means beach, while "Menye" means pampered. Yups, this is the beach where to pamper yourself and have fun. If it is associated with the panorama here, then embedding the name is very appropriate. Here you can pamper yourself with views of Lut Tawar Lake, mountains, and beautiful nature. From this location, if you look toward the lake, you will see a cauldron, and the hills that line up are the walls of the cauldron. Historically, this lake was formed because, in ancient times, this lake was a volcanic crater.
Even though this is a lake, somehow it forms a kind of shoreline and there are always waves even though it is not as big as the sea. The depth of the lake is also very shallow here. So in addition to pampering adults, children are also safe to play here. Currently, this beach is also crowded with food vendors because the quantity of tourists continues to peak and this is a field of fortune for culinary entrepreneurs such as grilled fish, Aceh noodles, Arabica Gayo coffee, and various other menus.
Back to the story of my disappointment and heavy expectations.
In the past, this beach was famous for its beaches, even here occasionally horse racing tournaments were held beside the beach, but now, the existence of this iconic pier has become an inherent thing with this beach, even its name is now PanteMenye Pier. The uniqueness of this pier is that it was formed following one of the local crafts, Kerawang Gayo. Yups, that's right, this pier has unique and interesting characters, as can be seen from its shape, which is designed from selected wood, resembling Gayo filigree carvings. Take a look at the following picture.
So far, I'm still annoyed. But in the end, I tried to make peace with the situation. Maybe this is the experience I should share but with the ultimate advice, Never come here on weekends, holidays and long holidays. Come here when people work, come here early in the morning or you book all this place, then you are free to take pictures from any angle.
Behind the beautiful clouds that accompany me back home, I hope that my story is useful and can help travelers to come to this place at the right time, then your expectations will be achieved. Thank you.
