Planting Juniper.
Yesterday we went to Grandma’s cottage. We bought some trees to plant along the fence.
First, we need to measure to make sure everything is straight. We used a measuring tape and a string for this.
Next, we dig holes. The holes need to be large. At the bottom of the hole, you need to put in gravel for drainage, then sand mixed with soil and fertilizer. If you have bugs, add a teaspoon of bug poison, then cover with about 10 cm of soil. Then water it with half a bucket of water. Take the tree out of the pot, keeping the soil around it, and plant it in the hole.
Pack down the edges a little, make a ring around the base, and pour water along the edge of the ring—another half a bucket.
Plant all the trees this way. 🌲
These trees don’t grow too big, but they’ll still grow. That’s why you need to plant them 70 cm apart. We left a meter between them and the fence and a meter between each tree.
Today we’re going to plant some more trees. They’ll be thuja trees, but much bigger than these ones.
