At home we are mowing the lawn less frequently, so now a greater variety of weeds grow on the edges of the patio and in the flower boxes. One of them is this that sometimes reaches almost my height (1.60 meters), and that has been interesting to me for a long time.

Despite the difficulty of its manipulation, (since they have glandular and stinging hairs), its leaves are used as food and to prepare infusions and curative plasters. Antiseptic, antifungal, antidiarrheal, bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and laxative properties are attributed to it.
Its stems are used in the manufacture of fabrics, ropes and handicrafts.
Pese a lo difícil de su manipulación, (ya que poseen pelos glandulares y urticantes), sus hojas son usadas como alimento y para preparar infusiones y emplastos curativos. Se le atribuyen propiedades antisépticas, antifúngicas, antidiarreicas, bactericidas, antiinflamatorias, diuréticas y laxantes.
Sus tallos son empleados en la confección de telas, cuerdas y artesanías.
They contain calcium oxalate crystals, more abundant in the old leaves, so care must be taken to let them dry or cook them.

Contienen cristales de oxalato de calcio, más abundantes en las hojas viejas, por lo que hay que tener la precaución de dejarlas secar o cocinarlas.
