I was having a conversation with a colleague the other day and we were talking about our careers and where we were at this point in our lives. I was explaining to her that I still didn’t have a crystal clear career path, I know that I want to be an entrepreneur and build companies, I know that I love design, as i’m a designer by trade, I know that I love Real Estate and urban planning, I also know that I don’t want to do just one of these things as a sole career.
I Just Want To Be Creative!
It was during that conversation that I realized, I just want to be creative. That’s my career path in life, anything that will allow me to be creative. It could be designing a brand one day, and finding and renovating an investment property the next, to painting a large canvas after that. I realized that I don’t want to be boxed in by a traditional career path, I just want to be as creative as I can be on anything that I set my mind to and create a way to support my family through that creative endeavor.
At the end of the day, one should never put limits on their interests and passions for the sake of “career”. More often than none, there’s a way to monetize that passion, just need a little bit of creativity.
