It was a lovely morning, although a bit chilly as we set off to Rufford Abbey in Nottinghamshire. We had plenty of food to feed the birds. There's a lovely lake so plenty of hungry bills to feed.
A couple of robins turned up. They are usually around the cafe area looking for tit bits. One looked a bit worse for wear, bless it.
We couldn't miss the little black and white pied wagtail, darting about looking for food with its constantly wagging tail.
You quite often see greylag geese in parks. Love their orange legs. This one didn't seem too impressed that we were there.
The tufted duck is a medium sized diving duck. The males are usually black and white and the females brown.
I know bread isn't as nutritional as proper bird seed but the ducks and geese in particular, seem to prefer the bread. At least they all had a good feed!
