We are having a few days in Llandudno, which is the largest resort in Wales and popular with tourists. The town is known for its victorian architecture and lies between the Great and Little Orme, two headlands, at either side of Llandudno Bay. You have a choice of walking up there or taking the tram to the top of the Great Orme.

We had a nice walk down the promenade, which is very accessible for people using wheelchairs and mobility scooters. I used to work at a disabled person's organisation where we sent information out to people who required an accessible holiday. Llandudno was always a favourite for accessibility. It was good seeing it in person. Even better, there were lots of shelters to sit down in along the whole of the promenade.

We had a lovely seaview from the hotel.

Llandudno Pier is a Grade II listed pier and is the longest in Wales. There is everything on the pier from good old - fashioned fish and chips, ice cream, a doughnut stall, cafes, and lots of entertainment in the arcades.

I'm not sure what these people were looking at, but even the dog was in on the act!

At the moment, there is a big ferris wheel on the pier that stands about 69 ft. It sometimes gets dismantled and travels to other resorts and then returns here. Even though it looks really nice lit up at night. I won't be going on it, as it is far too high for me, especially when high winds are on the way. It might be too dangerous.

Thankfully, I wasn't eating anything. The herring gulls would probably have divebombed me to take the food out my hand. I wouldn't have minded sharing, though.

Even though it was overcast, it was an enjoyable first day. So for now it's goodbye from me and goodbye from the gull!
