Before I met a friend for coffee, I popped over to a place called Poolsbrook Country Park. The weather was set to be sunny for most of the week, so it seemed best to take advantage of it.
Volunteers of the park make sure the birds are well fed, especially during the winter months. I quickly realised not to stop for too long as the birds would surround me thinking I've got food. I felt guilty so I quickly moved on. The white doves in particular kept giving me the side eye.
I spotted a few doves enjoying the sun, bathing in the lake. Even though it was sunny, next to the water's edge, it was still a bit cool.
The greylag geese also honked at me as I walked past.
I spotted a couple of muscovy ducks going into the shrubs. I don’t often see them here.
I quite like the look of gates. I didn't realise there was a pigeon sat on the gate until I got closer.
It's a lovely place to visit. It's a pity that the pylons are a bit of a blot on the landscape.
After a circular walk around the lake, I left for my coffee date. Next time, I must take some food.
