Every day provides us with an opportunity to celebrate life and it's joys. Today I am celebrating a craze it started in the mid-70s, the pet rock. I hope you enjoyed today's poem.
LEO THE GEODE
Have you met,
the perfect pet.
One that doesn't squawk,
or need a walk.
And has no need,
for water or feed.
You can dress him in a costume,
and there's never a need to groom.
There's no need to train,
just say stay and he'll remain.
He'll never gnaw,
or scratch you with a claw.
Please don't mock,
my pet rock.
His breed is Geode,
his name is Leo.
When he gleams,
my heart beams.
