Hello Friends! First of all, It's my Pleasure to introduce myself.I'm Emily Parker.I am from
California.I'm really excited to be here.This is my first introductory post.I am in my first semester of senior year in Civil Engineering In this memo, I am going to tell you little bit about my background, interests, achievements and my goals
My family
My Family is a small nuclear family which belongs to a middle class family. My family contains four members, a father, a mother, me and a small sister. My family is a complete, positive and happy family gives me and my sister lots of love, warmth and security. I feel so happy in my family as it care me and fulfill my all the needs. I live with my family and be very happy. People in the family become very caring and give proper guidance from time to time. My grandparents live in the village in their home where we go in our summer vacations and enjoy a lot. Both, my grandfather and grandmother care me and my brother, sisters a lot. They generally tell us nice stories in the night which we really enjoy. We enjoy every moment with them and catch the moments into my mobile.
My parents love and care to my grandparents very much and always take care of their needs. They give lots of needed things to them whenever we go to village. My parents talk to my grandparents with mobile almost every day. I am so lucky and feel very happy to have such lovely and careful members in my family. I really miss my grandparents when I get returned to my home.
My mom is very sweet and love and care us a lot. She always gives us tasty breakfast and lunch every day. She cares a lot to my father and he too. She tells us about all the Indian culture and traditions in order to pass to next generation. We happily celebrate every festival with my grandparents in the village and give nice gifts to each other. We live an advanced lifestyle in the city however really enjoys a countryside lifestyle in the village. Both, my mom and dad help us all in doing home work. We enjoy a nice get together in the evening at dinner table and spend some time with each other in the ground.
From a young age I have always been a very determined and driven person for everything that I set out to do. I have always known that no matter what I do in life I want to do something that can make a difference in someone's life. To me teaching is a perfect way to make a difference in someone's life, I believe that because even till this day I still remember the teachers that I have had in the past that made such a difference in my life.
A present/future goal of mine is to strengthen my walk with God. This goal is one of my most important ones because I have had to over come some difficult tribulations and for a brief time I had forgotten to just trust in God and that even though at the time I had felt like he wasn't listing, he really was the whole time. But thankfully over the past year I have reconnected and have started to work on strengthening my walk with God.
I spend my first 14 year of life in Mumbai before moving here in California.In My School life I focused on achieving my goals including learning English language, participating in extracurricular activities, and doing well in all my classes. In my junior year, I had joined Math club, Robotics club and also enrolled in few honor classes. Along with school, I also found a part time job at a local restaurant to help my parents financially. Moving in to a new country and settling there (here) was a huge challenge for me and my family.
My Interests
I like playing Chess and Badminton.I always enjoyed reading, writing and doing math. Growing up as a child and until now, (my adulthood) it has been mine (my) and my parents dream for me to become a Doctor or an Engineer.
----- I decided to become a Civil Engineer because I have always been fascinated by looking at the bridges, buildings, and skyscrapers.
Achievements:
I have achieved many different goals in life. Some of my achievements are bigger than the others, which has given me greater satisfaction. The top five achievements that gave me the greatest personal satisfaction is Being student of the month in my English class,Getting my first job,Going to College,Learning English Language and Getting my driving license
My achievements have helped me to get ahead in life.
I hope to get better at technical communication this term. Five years from now, I want to become a project manager of a construction project, and technical communication is one of the most important skills that a project manager should have. As a project manager, my primary goals are managing people, set budgets, and making decisions of all kinds.
My favorite music band is QUEEN. I think it is the best group on the earth. Together with my sister, we are devoted Queen fans. We have all their albums, many video tapes, books, posters, gadgets and interviews. I love them, but I also like other groups like The Doors, The Baeatles, The Rolling Stones, some Polish rock groups and many others. Apart from that I’m really fascinated by Scottisch bagpipe songs, and one of my favorite albums is the „Braveheart” soundtrack.
I love fantasy literature. I read fantasy books and magazines, watch fantasy films and play role playing games in which fantasy world is used as background. Once every two weeks, I meet with my friends and we play „Middle Earth”. I’m the master of the game and they are players. We play about five hours sesion. It’s a lot of fun. „Middle Earth” is a game based on Tolkien’s books. I chose it, becouse I love everything that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote. He is my favorite writer, but I like other writers as well, for example Piers Anthony or Robert Jordan.
I hate spiders. When I see a spider (especialy when it’s a big one) I feel so very small and the spider seems so huge. I don’t feel scarred when I see a mouse, snake or any other animal and when I come across a spider I think: „Why is it not a mouse? Why do I always find spiders and not mise for example”. This is terrible.
However, sometimes I've had a hard time since there are a lot of challenges as well. But even so, I've tried to look in a positive side, because I know dealing with human isn't an easy thing. In order to improve my work performance and myself, I believe there are still many things I have to learn, and need to strive for having a better life in the future.
In the 5th grade my parents thought my shyness was a result of being bullied (it wasn't). Their solution was sending me to martial arts classes. I was forced to wear those funny clothes, do weird moves, and make ridiculous sounds. As the classes continued, I felt more comfortable doing all these strange new things. I was given an opportunity to open up around other people and they seemed to be just fine with it. These were the first steps in overcoming my shyness. As the classes continued, and I became even more comfortable "putting myself out there", I forced myself to become more involved with things I would not have thought about doing before.
I eventually joined the debate team, Destination Imagination, and was Dance Student of the Year. I was given the opportunity to share my love of history and teach my 7th grade History class about the War of 1812 and as a sophomore was History Student of the Year.
My greatest accomplishment has been dealing with my introversion. I have allowed myself to enjoy so many things and have made some accomplishments along the way. I Am now in Martial Arts and I am heading to college. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Why I joined Steemit?
I joined this platform simply to extend the scope of my limitation. I know that this platform is known nationwide and has high reputation. So, our works will be worth it. Means that the blog that we are going to post will become useful to other, I really love to do tutorial both in electrical, electronic and mathematics by means of solving mathematical problems or practical applications. I believe that this platform is the place were we can share and gain ideas considering that all the members are awesome and kind.*
I became a member of this site a month ago after a friend of mine was mentioning crypto currency sites... at first I was quite reluctant cause I have gone through many paying sites and nothing offered this much possibility so in short, Steemit sounded too good to be true..Thats why i registered..I didnt Know about this site quite well...After knowing about this big family, i am starting my first blog.. I am really grateful to all those who have been a great help to me ever since I joined this platform and I wouldn’t be here today if not for you guys.I have already posted on Decentmemes.com and 
I wish to make friends with you all that would last not only here on steemit but even in personal. I expect to be in a network of people who build up each other morally and even financially. I learned that this platform has helped build and make communities stronger.
