Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios. Espero que por allá todo también esté marchando muy pero muy bien. Yo, aprovechando mis días de descanso, ya gracias, me siento un poco mejor y estoy por acá de vuelta.
Por acá, lo más esperado, porque lo prometido es deuda. Hoy quería compartir con ustedes mi visita a lo que fue el nuevo cine ubicado en la bella isla de Margarita, en la nueva ala, la cual aún se encuentra en… bueno, no es construcción realmente; aún están remodelando las tiendas y se pueden fijar que, por ahora, en ese piso, es el único local que está abierto, el cine, pero si caminas un poco más adelante, te puedes encontrar con una que otra tienda, pero para los alrededores del cine, todo aún se encuentra sin habitar. Lo cual a la vez a veces yo me coloco a pensar y yo digo de dónde había tanto espacio o de dónde sacar un tanto espacio para la vela, porque la verdad nunca me imaginé que tuviera tanto espacio así para tantas cosas, y ahorita crean tantas cosas que uno se queda loco.

Here’s what you’ve all been waiting for, because a promise is a promise. Today I wanted to share with you my visit to what used to be the new cinema on the beautiful island of Margarita, in the new wing, which is still… well, it’s not really a building site; they’re still refurbishing the shops and you can see that, for now, on that floor, the cinema is the only place that’s open, but if you walk a bit further on, you might come across the odd shop here and there, though the area around the cinema is still completely unoccupied. Which, in turn, sometimes makes me stop and think, and I ask myself where there was so much space, or where they found the space for the cinema, because, to be honest, I never imagined there would be that much space for so many things, and right now they’re building so many things that it’s mind-boggling.
No sé con exactitud desde cuándo está funcionando; solo sé que yo oí por TikTok, en unos videos, que la inauguración era el 21, pero yo fui ese día, aunque sea para verlo desde afuera, y resulta que todo estaba funcionando con normalidad; incluso estaban vendiendo entradas. Estaban vendiendo cotufas y el olor de las cotufas fue el que nos llevó hasta donde estaba el cine y, de verdad, estaba bastante, pero bastante full.
Esta es una estructura sumamente grande que cuenta con 2 pisos; en la parte de abajo pueden comprar sus entradas, así como también los combos de cotufa, y en la parte de arriba tienen un bar y las salas de cine, así como también tienen un mural donde hay varias películas que en su momento hicieron historia.
I’m not exactly sure how long it’s been open; I just know I heard on TikTok, in a few videos, that the opening was on the 21st, but I went there that day, even if just to have a look from the outside, and it turned out everything was running as normal; they were even selling tickets. They were selling popcorn and the smell of the popcorn was what led us to where the cinema was, and, honestly, it was absolutely, absolutely packed.
It’s a massive two-storey building; on the ground floor you can buy your tickets, as well as popcorn combos, and upstairs there’s a bar and the cinema screens, plus a mural featuring several films that made history in their day.
La verdad es que yo nunca me imaginé la magnitud de lo grande que iba a ser el cine; es más, hasta parece un aeropuerto de verdad, que es muy, pero muy grande, y tuve la oportunidad de probar las butacas que las tenían en exhibición y son supercómodas. También pensaba que podía pertenecer a Cinex, pero resulta que realmente pertenece a Cines Unidos y los que pensaban que la entrada podía ser exagerada, pues no lo es; tiene un costo de 5 dólares y los miércoles para ti queda en 3 dólares, pagando a los niños y adultos mayores la mitad de precio. ¡Saludos, amigos!
To be honest, I never imagined just how huge the cinema would be; in fact, it looks like a real airport – it’s massive – and I had the chance to try out the seats they had on display, and they’re incredibly comfortable. I also thought it might belong to Cinex, but it turns out it actually belongs to Cines Unidos. And for those of you who thought the ticket price might be a bit steep, well, it isn’t; it costs $5, and on Wednesdays it’s just $3 for you, with children and senior citizens paying half price.
