Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Por aquí todo muy bien, gracias a Dios; espero que por su parte todo esté excelente. Yo por este lado muriéndome del calor y sacándome las canas verdes, y no digo verdes por la universidad, pero bueno, pa’lante es, para allá vamos por ese segundo título.
Saben que hace días mi primo me escribió para que lo ayudara aclarándole unas dudas con una actividad que tenía de contabilidad y, como ya yo las vi, claro, sin problema le dije que fuera a la casa para practicar un rato, pero claramente ni él ni yo sabíamos que eso iba a pasar porque nosotros hace días ya queríamos ir un rato a la playa a distraernos y nunca íbamos para ningún lado, así que bueno, ese día no nos imaginamos que era el día.
Hi there, how’s it going, mates? How are you all? Everything’s going really well here, thank goodness; I hope things are going swimmingly for you too. Over here, I’m sweltering in the heat and going a bit mad – and I don’t mean ‘going green’ because of uni, but anyway, we’re pushing on, heading for that second degree.
You know, a few days ago my cousin texted me asking for help clearing up some doubts he had about an accounting assignment, and as I’d already had a look at it, of course, I told him no problem, to come round to the house to practise for a bit, but clearly neither he nor I knew that was going to happen because we’d been wanting to go to the beach for a while to take our minds off things and we never got round to going anywhere, so well, that day we had no idea it was the day.
Pues resulta que él llegó a la casa riéndose, porque sí que nos dio gracia. Cuando venía subiendo a mi casa para practicar contabilidad, se encontró con la amiga con la que nos íbamos a reunir y se vinieron los dos y me llegaron a la casa sin siquiera planificarlo. Allí estábamos los tres riéndonos y gozando un pullero, poniéndonos al día de tantas cosas, jajajajaaja.
Nos fuimos a la bodega a comprar refresco y galletas y yo casualmente había hecho quesillo, que pensaba que era solo con mi primo, pero resulta que no; hasta ella se vino y fue mejor de lo que pensábamos, un rato echando broma; incluso en la bodega me dio mucha pena porque mi primo se compró una crema y la crema tenía un olor fuerte a vainilla y parecía que él fuera la torta y le echamos mucha broma.
Well, it turns out he turned up at the house laughing, because we really did find it funny. As he was coming up to my flat to do some bookkeeping, he bumped into the friend we were going to meet up with, and the two of them came along and turned up at my place without even planning it. There we were, the three of us, laughing and having a right good time, catching up on so many things, hahahahaha.
We went to the shop to buy soft drinks and biscuits, and I’d actually made some quesillo, which I’d thought was just for my cousin, but it turns out not; she came along too and it was better than we’d expected, a bit of a laugh; I even felt a bit sorry for him in the shop because my cousin bought some cream and it had a strong vanilla smell and it looked like he was the cake, so we teased him a lot.
Hicimos cambio de belleza: yo le hice las cejas a mi amiga y ella me planchó el cabello un rato. Todo lo que hablábamos y, si se preguntan, la pasé muy bien, pero mi primo en el examen va a salir mal porque eso fue lo menos que hicimos, la verdad, jajajaja. ¡Saludos, amigos!
We had a beauty swap: I did my friend’s eyebrows and she straightened my hair for a bit. We chatted about all sorts of things and, in case you’re wondering, I had a great time, but my cousin’s going to do badly in his exam because that was the least of what we got up to, to be honest, ha ha ha.
