I have always considered my friends my second family.

My college journey has brought me so many struggles but with my friends presence everything feels easier and manageable. That's why we feel the urge to unite, to bond and to spend our free time together.
It's not easy to find that free time since everyone is busy.
Seven and Lhexine, before I left.
After spending my vacation at my grandparents' place- lol, that was just an excuse to wait for my appointment at my university.
Good thing I got a free ride with my aunt's brother in law; I was grateful for that because the fare is too pricey for a 40 minutes trip (150.00).
I met up with my college friends. We were processing documents and requirements to avail of a scholarship reimbursement.
I thought I had prepared everything needed but still missed one thing.
We assumed that the other requirement was at the registrar's office but we went to the cashier's office first to ask if we could request for another receipt since we had lost ours. Little did we know that once the cashier issues an Official receipt, they won't issue another one unless we pay the same amount again. So we approached the registrar's office and asked if they happened to keep copies. Luckily, they had it. Unfortunately, they could only release it after lunch, and I couldn't wait.
Since Kaye was still on her way to school, I asked her to pass by at the scholarship office to check if we could use a photocopy instead of the original. While we were waiting, one of my classmates came and told us that we didn't need the receipt after all. She was absolutely right. Nelly and I immediately headed to the scholarship office so we could finish early and go home. We didn't have to wait long for Kaye to arrive and submit her requirements in person.
You see that blue plastic bag that Nelly was holding? That was a chamber pot. Lol.
Kaye and I planned to head home afterwards, but Nelly insisted on going to Mommy Therese's- our friend's- house first because she was overthinking about something and needed advice. And guess what? I can say no to this, because they're like my conscience.
So we headed to Mommy Therese's house. It wasn't my first time visiting since graduation- I had just been here the other day. But I still missed it; the moment we shared, the warmth of the house, the kids, and Mommy's parents who have always felt like my own family. Seeing this kind family again made me so happy.
The conversation was intense and serious- the kind that really needs thoughtful advice. We didn't solve everything right away, but we handles it with care. We all shared our thoughts and talked about how she could face what she was going through.

After our heart-to-heart talk about Nelly's problem, we decided it was time to head home. Mommy Therese and her family insisted we stay for lunch, but I had refused. I felt bad saying no but I didn't want to stay tol long- I still had errands to run in the city.
We were starving from running around all day, so we planned to grab quick bite. But instead we ended up at grocery store. It's funny how we only went in for water and walked out with bags of groceries. Nelly and Kaye left me at the counter to pay while they ordered lunch. I was nervous my cash wouldn't be enough, by thankfully, it was.
After lunch, we parted ways. Those were such precious bonding moments with my friends.
I rushed to catch the bus because I had one last task: pick up my mother's order from the store since she was running late. Luckily we arrived at the same time,so I tag along with her.
It was my first time seeing a rainbow somewhere nearby.
I thought the ride would be as smooth as it seemed. But not long after we left, the rain poured so hard that we all got wet.
I heard someone say, " if the first rain falls in May, blessings are coming."
