We do not want faux outrage and political jabbing when this all blows out of proportion. For the last 9 months or so we have been continuously warned about a massive starvation in Yemen as a result of the conflict that has so far claimed nearly 20000 lives.
As of today, more than 8 million people rely solely on food aid provided by the United Nations and other donor agencies while an estimated 4 million people are expected to join them in a couple of months. What that means is 12 Million people at risk of inherent starvation off nothing is done to stem the tide, easily the largest humanitarian crisis in human history.
I have all but given up on expecting some form of outrage that will Spike interventions in the crisis and prevent further chaos, because the World seems disinterested because it furthers no major political agenda at this point.
We may see some manufactured outrage if this gets out of hand well enough though, but by then it will be too late.
While the World seems upset with Saudi over the death of Jamal Khashoggi, let us not forget that tens of thousands of Yemenis have died and Millions are at risk which the Saudis need to answer to.
