No Pictures
I figure without the graphics, maybe it'll be given more thought. Have to thank
for helping to spread some positive vibes across the chain. Good cat by the way. He drops in and visits the pimps with
on Thursdays in the Ramble from time to time. Believe he's fairly active in #steemusa with
as well.
The Thought
Acceptance. I find myself often in situations where I'm just tolerating something or someone instead of accepting that it is what it is or they are who they are. It's a fine line between the two, and hard to recognize sometimes, but once you do, it relieves quite a bit of stress.
What's The Difference?
Tolerance is more a 'putting up with' attitude. Typically, the stress won't subside until the situation passes. How long you can stand something before tapping out. Accepting a person or instance, is realizing that it or they won't change until it's time.
Acceptance
Being a parent, I have a tolerance level where some things, I can only deal with so much of, like whining. Ugh. Enough already. LOL! But, it has given me the 'patience of a saint' which directly impacts the easier transition periods I have acquired for accepting things. Like my son.
Bippity Boppity
Used to call him 'Boo-Boo' as a lilun' because he'd often get owies. Not that he was trying to avoid them. 😆 As a now young adult, he has some owies since he went off to live with his mother for 3 years. She was not as encouraging I suppose, as he dropped out of school, started partying and getting in with 'the wrong crowd'. Nothing wrong with having a good time, but priorities are just that. Now his owies are 'wish I would've finished school' and stayed here.
Was Tough
But I've learned to accept him for who he is and urge him in a positive direction versus tolerating his failures because I was seriously pissed off when I heard he quit high school. 🤐 Life is shitty sometimes. The question is, will you tolerate it and let it pass as all things do, or accept the things you cannot change and work to better the things you can?
