Greetings Steemers, Stoners and Cannabis Connoisseurs,
What a year in the Cannabis industry it has been. With prices dropping and market supply going up we are having to find ways to grow like we never did before. Most of the farmers in the area have been doing this for years, but this is a whole new ball game here. Our goal is to produce the best quality product and keep costs down as low as possible. The model has changed, no longer can we hand water and spend endless amounts of time with each plant. We have to maximize our effectiveness essentially.
To start off we planted our plants in 100' rows. Each row is 1250 sq ft, and in total we are allotted 5000 sq ft(the full term garden). The OLCC limits us to a certain amount of canopy space for our flowering plants. We have two greenhouses in which the 5000 sq ft is allotted til late July, then the canopy footprint moves to the full term garden. We did this to maximize our canopy the whole year otherwise we would only be flowering in the 5000' plot for 3 months out of the year.
So we started off with our greenhouse(we only had one in 2017). I started taking clones off some mothers we had in march. Warm space was limited so we struggled to get enough plant needed to plant the greenhouse and the full term. Some how we pulled off a miracle and got the plants we needed and got em in the ground. The greenhouse is a light deprivation greenhouse so it has a cover that unrolls automatically to control the light cycle to 12 on 12 off. It took several weeks of mistakes to get this thing to work right, but we got it dialed in and had a great harvest.

It was time to harvest!! This took some good footwork though, cause we had our full term mamas in the ground and they were taking off and they needed our attention. It was a dance to get the dep harvested, it took us 5 days to get it all cut down and hung to dry. It then took another 2 to 3 weeks to get it trimmed and ready for market. We finally got through it and were able to get back to the full term garden thankfully. All of our attention then was set on the full term garden!
Full Term Garden to be continued
