This is me! Ensh.
I want to start off this introduction by saying I’m thrilled to have found this community!
My name is Milenko Vujosevic. I am from both Toronto and Belgrade. (read on for more info!) I started a musical project/group called Ensh just over 4 years ago. Ensh is an Electro Artpop act. I program the majority of the music and when I perform live I usually have at least one backing musician. My most frequent live collaborator and the closest thing to a full time member of Ensh is this guy: Kosta Jovanovic
Leading up to the formation of Ensh I had reached a profound personal and professional impasse in my life. I found myself in a dead end job, an incompatible relationship and after years of trying to “make the band thing work” I had all but quit making music. I was seriously demoralized and depressed. One day I decided to just upend my life. I quit my job, ended my relationship and I abandoned my adoptive city of Toronto in favour of the city I was born in: Belgrade, Serbia. (note: running away doesn’t solve your problems, but it can serve as a catalyst).
I lived with my grandmother (her name is Bosa, that’s what everyone calls her. She’s absolutely amazing!) while I figured shit out.
I spent a lot of time being as open as possible to different experiences (just going out and meeting as many different people as possible). Early on I discovered a place called BIGZ which ended up changing my life. BIGZ was one of the biggest publishing houses in the Former Yugoslavia, but now it is a run down building that has been repurposed as a musicians’ space. It is full of rehearsal spaces, recording studios and it even had some concert venues.
On a fateful night (“no fate” Terminator 2 Judgment Day) in May of 2013 I went to one of these concert venues and met a group of people that would all eventually change my life. I was so charged with curiosity and positivity that something broke loose in my brain. A creative flood like I had never experienced before. I went from questioning whether I would ever do anything musical again to writing and recording a full album in a matter of weeks. I decided to dedicate the album to the city that so inspired me. I called it: Belgrade. (Graeme Jones did the artwork for my first album! Check his stuff out here: http://www.grammajones.com/)

To this day I reflect on this time period as the largest personal growth period in my life. It was when I decided to live honestly for better or worse. In my previous band I spent a lot of time second guessing my choices and my writing. I decided I would never let this happen again. :)
I want to try and keep my Steemit profile as chronological as possible. So I’m going to try and dig back into the recesses of my memory and hopefully provide you with some entertaining and interesting blogs about my adventures! Hope you enjoy!
I'm looking forward to being acquainted with you all!
