After a long day of driving in the searing heat of mid-July, finding a swimmable lake and a decent campground became paramount and the city of Creston, located in the southern Kootenays, had just that. The air filled with a pungent smoky scent had yet to offer some magnificent lightscapes which rolled in like a tide reaching its apex of brightness and colours.
