June has passed, so it is time again for a new post about the rewards I got from different Steemit services and initiatives.
Voting distribution
Based on upVoters you can get insight in the upvotes you get for a certain amount of time. Below you can see the voting distribution of all incoming votes in June (and May as a comparison). It can be seen that took a smaller share this month, but remains in first position (by a huge margin). It is followed by
and
, which both saw their share increase. The share of
decreased this month. I expected this more or less because my UA-score has somehow sunk a lot. The first human curator is
with a nice 3.5%, thanks Peter!
May:
Author rewards
The second important thing to take into account is the total amount of author rewards that I got during this month. Steemworld.org helps here, since you can see the rewards of the last 30 days on your account page there (see below). One disadvantage is that rewards are always paid out 7 days after you author a post. That means that the reward data from Steemworld are 7 days behind the upVoters data about upvotes. To keep the calculation easy, I assume that the amount of upvotes by the different services are comparable for both periods. Since I post 4 to 5 times a week nearly all weeks, that should be pretty close to the reality.
According to the Steemworld data, I got 21.08 STEEM Power and 8.24 SBD in author rewards last month. For the calculation I assume that the average price of STEEM was around 0.39 SBD this month. That makes a total reward value of 42.21 STEEM (compared to 48.05 in March). I think the rewards mainly reduced because I posted less than last month.
Results
In the table below you can find the results of the calculation for this month, including a recap from the previous five months. I only take the services into account that are among the five biggest contributors/upvoters.
| Service | Share (%) | STEEM (Jun) | STEEM (May) | STEEM (Apr) | STEEM (Mar) | STEEM (Feb) | STEEM (Jan) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| @actifit | 39.8 % | 16.80 | 20.52 | 12.76 | 11.20 | 1.48 | 8.08 |
| @esteemapp | 18.7 % | 7.89 | 7.21 | 6.51 | 3.24 | 3.14 | - |
| @steembasicincome | 17.9 % | 7.56 | 8.07 | 7.84 | 6.55 | 6.89 | 7.09 |
| @steem-ua | 6.2 % | 2.62 | 3.36 | 4.00 | 3.65 | 2.76 | 5.54 |
| @upvoteshares | 3.4 % | 1.44 | 1.49 | 1.11 | 0.84 | 0.72 | 1.05 |
Actifit is still on top this month, but with quite a bit less Steem than last month. I keep making use of the nice AFIT to Steem/upvote possibility offers these days.
Esteemapp has gone up a bit, thanks to the number of posts I did with the app, which resulted in more upvotes. It also surpassed SBI for the first time.
SBI is down in Steem rewards after two consecutive months of growth. It seems the sustainability coverage of SBI has gone down, which makes the upvotes smaller. Still however it is a lot better than in the first months of 2019.
Steem-UA is in fourth place and has decreased compared to last month. It seems I should be more active to increase my UA-score again...
Upvoteshares is more or less stable in Steem. The slight reduction is mainly because I posted less this month.
In the graph below, the Steem rewards per service is shown over time. You can see that the reduction of rewards in June was mostly because of Actifit, which I used less this month.
Conclusion and further thoughts
Based on the numbers, most of the services are still working well for me. Actifit is really the big one, especially because of the conversion option. I'd say this is the best service there is for me, also because it keeps me fit. SBI brings in a steady income, but is struggeling a bit. The Esteem app works very well and gives nice upvotes that are worth a lot more than what you give them, so it is a win-win. Steem-UA is still a great service when you calculate the Return on Investment, but I do need to increase my engagement to reach new highs.
All other services (including @dustsweeper and @minnowbuilder, which are not in the list) still provide a, slow but steady, return, so I won't be changing any of those.
What do you think about the numbers? And do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!
