Newest video from Elaphe Propulsion Technologies Ltd.
Vibration testing of Elaphe in-wheel motors in a BMW X6 test mule on a gravel road. Accelerations at bearing measured at all times.
The Elaphe L1500 in-wheel motor uses original BMW X6 knuckle and bearing with an OEM disc brake.
This video demonstrates one of the driving cycles performed on a BMW X6 test vehicle where the sole propulsion is enabled by four (4) high-performance in-wheel motors, one in each wheel.
The Elaphe BMW X6-based electric propulsion testing platform uses 4 Elaphe™ L-type motors mounted inside the wheels, has more than 6000 Nm (4425 lbf·ft) of direct-drive torque available at the wheels and produces more than 440 kW (equivalent to 590 HP) of pure power. All that torque is packed neatly inside the wheels together with a standard disc brake and bearing.
This short video shows performance and response when exposed to vibrations on a gravel road.
Elaphe is investing heavily in R&D and scaling up production and was recently awarded a grant of over 1 million EURO by the European Union to co-fund the industrialization and commercialization of the innovative Elaphe™ L1500 in-wheel motor, bringing it into mass production.
