Sunday morning, not too early. The fog is still here, hanging around on a humid ten degrees day.
Time to go for a run. I decided to take the same path that my son and I took yesterday for our cycling round. It will be around 16 kilometers of flat roads, some asphalt, a bit more tarmac, almost no trail. Down to the river Sava and along its right bank to Sneberje, across the river and back home.
Please, be my guests and follow me with the help of the photos I took during the run.
You will notice that we are very lucky to have many opportunities for recreation in our area. We Slovenians are a very sporty nation and are proud of it.
Crossing river Sava at the Črnuče bridge. I told you about the fog, didn't I?
The coffee bar along the bank of the river. It will be crowded here when the sun comes through.
The hiking path by the river is well maintained by the city's public services.
As well as are the outdoor fitness areas ...
... and the boulder wall for kids to climb on. It is set under the Tomačevo bridge.
The children's playground is right next to it.
Further on, there are some very well kept gardens.
There are several horse stalls and a hippodrome too.
A beautiful garden shed. I would love to have a proper house like this one :)
NK Šmartno soccer fields.
Another children's playground at the ŠD Sloga facilities in Sneberje.
The local sports society is well known for its top bowlers.
Well kept memorial monument dedicated to those who gave their lives for freedom during WW2. They were killed by the oppressors and their local traitor helpers. We will never forget!
Nearing the easternmost point of the run at the ninth kilometer, the stairs up to the bridge.
Sneberje bridge, crossing the Sava back to its left bank.
Further to Šentjakob and then west across the fields and through the forest.
Back to the civilization at the lower Črnuče commerce area, deserted on foggy Sunday morning.
Home after almost sixteen kilometers of enjoyable easy pace run.
The pinmapple position is set at the Sneberje bridge.
All the physical activity data that I display in my and
reports is gathered with the help of Coros Pace sports watch and displayed with Coros app.
