Hoy vengo a continuar con la historia de como acompañamos en la celebración de cumpleaños de la pequeña Marcela, con nuestra propuesta de arte y spa.
Como les comenté en el post anterior llegamos y ya la mayoría de las cosas estaban organizadas, ayudamos un poco a acomodar los peluches y esperamos a que llegaran las niñas para poder quitar los peluches de las mesas e instalar nuestro caballetes y lienzos para que las niñas pudieran pintar.

Today I'm continuing the story of how we helped celebrate little Marcela's birthday with our art and spa activity.
As I mentioned in the previous post, we arrived to find most things already set up. We helped arrange the stuffed animals and waited for the girls to arrive so we could clear the tables and set up our easels and canvases for them to paint.
Para el diseño de los lienzos les tracé a todos unos bocetos de ositos cariñosos en tres posiciones diferentes, como los ositos son muchos traté de cambiar la parte del pecho para que fueran los diferentes personajes y que las niñas pudieran escoger su favorito a la hora de pintar.
Yo la verdad no tengo conocimiento de la serie pero por suerte había hecho el diseño de uno que era el favorito de la niña porque en realidad no me pasaron foto de referencia simplemente me dijeron "haz los bocetos de ositos cariñosos".
Entonces la chica fueron llegando, se les tomó la foto que estábamos esperando con los peluches, y luego nos pusimos manos a la obra con ella que estamos todos los peluches de la mesa e instalamos los caballetes, colocamos los lienzos y les comenzamos a dar las pinturas y pinceles.
Este proceso para mí es bastante chistoso porque pasamos a darle color a los lienzos y muchas veces no es lo que esperamos, sobre todo cuando trabajamos con niñas tan pequeñas.
Resultó que se estaban saliendo de la línea y hasta hubo una que tampoco completamente las líneas base del osito.
Yo siempre las ayudo a darle forma pero esta vez no había manera porque no veía las líneas de base.
For the canvas design, I drew sketches of Care Bears in three different poses for everyone. Since there are so many bears, I tried to vary the chest area so that each character could be different, allowing the girls to choose their favorite when it came time to paint.
I honestly don't know much about the series, but luckily I had already drawn one of the bears that was the girl's favorite because they didn't actually give me a reference photo; they just told me, "Draw the Care Bear sketches."
Then the girls started arriving, we took the picture we were waiting for with the plushies, and then we got to work with them. We had all the plushies on the table, set up the easels, placed the canvases, and started giving them the paints and brushes.
This process is quite funny for me because we move on to coloring the canvases, and often it's not what we expect, especially when working with such young children.
It turned out they were going outside the lines, and one of them even missed the teddy bear's baseline completely.
I always help them shape it, but this time there was no way because I couldn't see the baselines.
Pero pues lo importante es que se estaba cumpliendo el objetivo, las niñas estaban disfrutando un montón pintando sus lienzos agregando los colores que ellas querían, y yo me fui orientando en el proceso para que todo tuviera una mejor forma.
Mientras tanto los pollitos en forma de piña estaban amontonados sobre una de las mesas, porque a pesar de que las niñas querían tenerlos cerca, era muy probable que los arruinaran todo con la pintura.
En un próximo y último post les estaré compartiendo los resultados y final de esta sesión de arte cumpleañera.
But the important thing is that we were achieving our goal. The girls were having a blast painting their canvases, adding whatever colors they wanted, and I guided them through the process to make sure everything looked its best.
Meanwhile, the pineapple-shaped chicks were piled up on one of the tables because, even though the girls wanted to keep them close, it was very likely they would ruin them with paint.
In my next and final post, I'll be sharing the results and the end of this birthday art session.
