Los ojos turcos son amuletos muy utilizados, a los que se les atribuyen diferentes usos dependiendo su color.
Para mí tienen un significado mucho más allá que representar una simple protección. Cuando nací mis ojos estaban completamente sellados. Tras 3 o 4 operaciones que me hicieron estando bebé lograron abrírmelos y es como hoy en día puedo apreciar el mundo en el que vivimos.
Cuando era una niña mis padres me compraron una cadena de oro que tenía un dije de ojo turco. En el centro estaba esa pupila de color azul y el resto era dorado. No sé si la compraron pensando en protegerme de algún mal, pero a mí me gustaba mucho porque sentía que me representaba.
La tuve por varios años, hasta que en una temporada difícil mis padres vendieron la cadena. Me quedó el dije de ojo turco, que años después se perdió.
Fue muy especial, por lo que quise conmemorar este recuerdo tejiendo un ojo turco a crochet. Según leí los ojos turcos de color azul representan las buenas energías y protección ante cualquier mal.
Excelente para colgar en mi sitio de trabajo y llenarme de todas esas buenas vibras que pueda ofrecerme. ♥
Les compartiré entonces el paso a paso para que también puedan hacerlo en casa y a lo mejor variar su color según sus requerimientos.

Turkish eyes are widely used amulets, to which different uses are attributed depending on their color.
For me they have a meaning far beyond representing a simple protection. When I was born my eyes were completely sealed. After 3 or 4 operations that they did to me when I was a baby, they managed to open them and that is how today I can appreciate the world in which we live.
When I was a little girl my parents bought me a gold chain that had a evil eye charm on it. In the center was that blue colored pupil and the rest was gold. I don't know if they bought it thinking of protecting me from evil, but I liked it a lot because I felt it represented me.
I had it for several years, until in a difficult time my parents sold the chain. I kept the Turkish eye pendant, which was lost years later.
It was very special, so I wanted to commemorate this memory by crocheting a Turkish eye. According to what I read, the blue Turkish eyes represent good energies and protection against any evil.
Excellent to hang in my workplace and fill me with all those good vibes that you can offer me. ♥
Then I will share the step by step so that you can also do it at home and maybe vary its color according to your requirements.

- Estambre de color negro, azul y blanco.
- Aguja de crochet
- Cuentas de plástico doradas.
- Tijeras
- Black, blue and white yarn.
- Crochet hook
- Gold plastic beads.
- Scissors
P R O C E S O || P R O C E S S
Con estambre negro, iniciamos haciendo un anillo mágico y sobre él montamos 6 medios puntos. Terminamos esta y todas las vueltas con un punto deslizado.
Para la segunda vuelta tejemos un aumento en cada punto hasta lograr 12 medios puntos.
With black yarn, we start by making a magic ring and on it we mount 6 single crochet. We finish this and all rounds with a slip stitch.
For the second round we knit an increase in each stitch until we have 12 single crochet.
Cambiamos el estambre por uno de color azul y tejemos la vuelta de la siguiente manera: un medio punto, un aumento, así repetimos 6 veces hasta lograr 18 medios puntos.
We change the yarn for a blue one and knit the round as follows: a single crochet, an increase, so we repeat 6 times until we achieve 18 single crochet.
Para la cuarta vuelta utilicé un estambre un poco más grueso de color blanco, tejí la misma cantidad de puntos de la vuelta anterior, ya que por ser más grueso el hilo, no hizo falta hacer aumentos.
En la quinta vuelta tejí un medio punto, un aumento, así hasta finalizar.
For the fourth row I used a slightly thicker white yarn, I knitted the same number of stitches as the previous row, since the thread was thicker, it was not necessary to increase.
On the fifth round I knitted a single crochet, an increase, like this until I finished.
En la última vuelta volví al color azul, tejí un aumento en cada punto hasta completar.
Luego tejí 10 cadenetas y cerré con punto deslizado en el mismo punto para crear una pequeña argolla para guindar.
On the last round I went back to blue, I knitted an increase in each stitch until complete.
Then I crocheted 10 chains and closed with a slip stitch in the same stitch to create a small ring to hang.
Como último detalle, hice una borla en estambre blanco y sobre ella coloqué algunas cuentas de plástico de color dorado para dar un poco de brillo a la decoración.
Este ojo turco lo podemos usar como decoración para una puerta, el carro o quizás un llavero. A donde quiera que lo lleves te protegerá. ♥
As a last detail, I made a white yarn tassel and placed some gold-colored plastic beads on it to give the decoration a bit of shine.
This evil eye can be used as a decoration for a door, the car or perhaps a keyring. Wherever you take it, it will protect you. ♥
