Algo perdida por acá, lo sé 😅. Pero acá estamos para contarles una súper historia que ocurrió el mes pasado y que es un sueño hecho realidad.
Desde hace un buen tiempo he querido que una marca respalde mi trabajo, creo que es el sueño de todo artista, y como sabrán mi fuerte es la pintura.
En un principio pintaba con óleos, unos que me dejó mi papá al irse del país, pero luego descubrí que también se podían hacer cosas geniales con pintura al frío.
Acá es donde comienza ese sueño de tener un gran repertorio de pinturas de la mejor marca que existe acá en Venezuela, que es la Orocolor, pero para aquel entonces no eran accesibles según la economía que manejabamos en casa.
Sabía que tarde o temprano podría acceder a ellas y con el tiempo, y mucho trabajo, pude por fin comprar mis primeras pinturas cuando hice el primer taller de Lakrearte y esto fue algo que me emocionó muchísimo.
Sabía que para obtener el respaldo de la marca, debía invertir en ella y fue la tarea que me propuse. En mis talleres siempre busqué ofrecer estas pinturas y así fue como poco a poco fui haciéndome de mis herramientas de trabajo y al mismo tiempo comenzando a ser notada por ellos.
Pero esto no fue un trabajo de semanas, más bien de meses en los que insistí e insistí. Teniendo cada vez más receptividad en lo que les mencionaba.
A final de año me propuse una meta, lograr que ese respaldo por fin ocurriera y fue así cuando cumplimos un año de haber consolidado nuestro espacio en Lakrearte.
Quise hacer una serie de talleres y que mejor momento para solicitar ese respaldo, así que armé una carta con una buena propuesta y la envié. Pasaron algunos días sin recibir respuesta, y pues no sabía que pensar.
Hasta que por fin llegó el tan esperado correo. En el me pidieron dar más detalles de las actividades y también preguntaron cuáles eran mis requerimientos.
Envié toda la información y así pasaron algunas semanas. Ya me había desanimado la verdad y entonces un día se me ocurrió enviarles de nuevo para preguntar si habían recibido la información.
Fue entonces cuando me pidieron reenviarla y haciendo ciertas modificaciones en cuanto a los tiempos de realización (ya había pasado un mes desde el aniversario), la envié con toda la fe del mundo.
Un día recibí un mensaje a mi WhatsApp 🙊 y al ver el logo de Orocolor me iba a morir de la emoción. Me solicitaron mis datos y fue entonces cuando pregunté "¿Eso significa que aceptaron mi solicitud?" A lo que respondieron "si, la próxima semana le haremos el envío". 😍💜
No saben lo feliz que me hizo leer esto. Pasaron como 10 días hasta que por fin llegó el momento, llegó el tan esperado paquete. No tenía ni idea de lo que contenía, pero sabiendo que en su interior habían pinturas, y no cualquiera, las mejores, me emocioné MUCHÍSIMO.

I know I've been a bit MIA lately 😅. But I'm here to tell you an amazing story that happened last month, a dream come true.
For a while now, I've wanted a brand to support my work. I think it's every artist's dream, and as you know, my forte is painting.
At first, I painted with oils, some that my dad left me when he moved abroad, but then I discovered that you could also do amazing things with acrylic paint.
This is where the dream of having a large collection of paints from the best brand here in Venezuela, Orocolor, began. But back then, they weren't affordable given our family's budget.
I knew that sooner or later I would be able to get them, and with time and a lot of hard work, I was finally able to buy my first paints when I took the first Lakrearte workshop, and this was something that thrilled me.
I knew that to gain the brand's endorsement, I had to invest in it, and that was the task I set for myself. In my workshops, I always sought to offer these paints, and that's how, little by little, I acquired my working tools and, at the same time, began to get their attention.
But this wasn't a matter of weeks; rather, it took months of persistence. I found them increasingly receptive to what I was telling them.
At the end of the year, I set a goal: to finally secure that endorsement. And that's how it happened when we celebrated our first anniversary of establishing our space at Lakrearte.
I wanted to hold a series of workshops, and what better time to request their support? So, I drafted a letter with a solid proposal and sent it. A few days passed without a response, and I didn't know what to think.
Until finally, the long-awaited email arrived. In it, they asked me to provide more details about the activities and also inquired about my requirements.
I sent all the information, and a few weeks went by. I was already feeling discouraged, to be honest, and then one day it occurred to me to email them again to ask if they had received the information.
That's when they asked me to resend it, and making some adjustments regarding the timeline (a month had already passed since the anniversary), I sent it with all the faith in the world.
One day I received a message on my WhatsApp 🙊 and when I saw the Orocolor logo, I was about to die of excitement. They asked for my information, and that's when I asked, "Does that mean you accepted my request?" To which they replied, "Yes, we'll ship it next week." 😍💜
You have no idea how happy that made me. About 10 days passed until the moment finally arrived; the long-awaited package arrived. I had no idea what was inside, but knowing that it contained paints—and not just any paints, the best—I was SO excited.
El paquete llegaría a mi local, y ese día recibí una llamada desde temprano por lo que salí súper emocionada de casa.
Al llegar ya me estaban esperando y luego de abrir el local y firmar como recibido quedamos el paquete y yo.
La emoción al leer mi nombre en ese paquete fue ENORME. Decidí disfrutarle cada segundo, así que tomé muchas fotos y decidí hacer el vídeo de unboxing, el primero en mi historia.
The package was supposed to arrive at my shop, and I received a call early that day, so I left home super excited.
When I arrived, they were already waiting for me, and after opening the shop and signing for it, it was just me and the package.
The excitement of seeing my name on that package was ENORMOUS. I decided to savor every second, so I took lots of pictures and decided to make an unboxing video—the first one ever!
Cuando les digo que tomé muchas fotos fue así. Quería mantener momento más ese suspenso. Leí la carta que estaba en un sobre adjunto y ahora sí era el momento de la verdad.
When I say I took a lot of photos, it was because I wanted to maintain that suspense for a while longer. I read the letter that was in an attached envelope, and now it was the moment of truth.
Ya con mi cámara activa comencé a abrir la caja. En ella venían unas pinturas que había encargado al distribuidor, para aprovechar el viaje. No eran muchas pero me servirían muchísimo para las cositas que tengo pensado pintar, y la tan esperada bolsa Orocolor.
La saqué con mucha emoción y en la parte superior decía lo mismo que en la caja " Prof. Estefania García". Hermoso y súper emocionante la verdad. Que alguien allá afuera se tomo el tiempo de empacar todo eso y colocarle mi nombre. 🥹💜
Pero en el interior de esta bolsa, que guardo con mucho cariño, era que estaba lo verdaderamente bueno.
Estaba el paquete con las pinturas que pedí en los mismos tonos que solicité, 9 Kits de regalo y mi tan ansiado delantal.
With my camera ready, I started opening the box. Inside were some paints I had ordered from the distributor, to make the most of the trip. There weren't many, but they would be incredibly useful for the things I have planned to paint, and the much-anticipated Orocolor bag.
I took it out with great excitement, and on the top it said the same thing as on the box: "Prof. Estefania García." Beautiful and incredibly touching, really. That someone out there took the time to pack all of that and put my name on it. 🥹💜
But inside this bag, which I cherish, was the truly wonderful part.
It contained the paints I had ordered in the exact colors I requested, nine gift kits, and my much-desired apron.
Por supuesto, no dudé ni un segundo en colocarme el delantal y ver cómo lucía con él. Fue mágico ese momento pues fue consolidar el sueño que venía persiguiendo desde hacía meses atrás.
Ahora era una realidad palpable y la felicidad se notaba en mi rostro. Aunque este momento lo viví solita mi esposo estaba al otro lado del teléfono viéndolo todo emocionado tanto como yo.
De verdad fue un día memorable, justo una semana antes de mi cumpleaños, por lo que sentí que este era un regalo de la vida para sorprenderme y reafirmarme que, con constancia y esfuerzo se pueden alcanzar todas las metas que nos propongamos.
Pronto les contaré lo que hicimos con estas pinturas, una serie de talleres geniales. 💜🎨
Of course, I didn't hesitate for a second to put on the apron and see how I looked in it. That moment was magical because it solidified the dream I'd been chasing for months.
Now it was a tangible reality, and the happiness was evident on my face. Although I experienced this moment alone, my husband was on the other end of the phone watching everything, just as excited as I was.
It truly was a memorable day, just a week before my birthday, so I felt like this was a gift from life to surprise me and reaffirm that with perseverance and effort, we can achieve all the goals we set for ourselves.
