Introduction: Resteem button as a great networking tool
Steem blockchain is built on the concept of social interaction through proper networking engendered by reciprocity. Among the tools for proper networking within busy.org community is reblog button. This button enables a given author's article to be seen by the followers of another user who reblogs the given author's article.
The problem
Most times, successful networking within the community entails reciprocity. In other words, people tend to allocate a higher percentage of their votes as a return back votes to those who votes for them. Using myself as an instance, whenever I write an article, I do use esteem app to find out who my upvoters are and would subsequently visit their blogs to equally upvote their articles. This reciprocity results in proper networking within the community leading to success as time goes on.
Now, however, with respect to reblogging interesting post links, the concept of reciprocity is not being well utilized as there is improper arrangement with respect to where reblogged articles are shown.
Using myself as an instance yet again...by the present arrangement, I am only able to see those that reblogged my articles on my 'feeds' page as shown in the below screenshot image.
The problem with this is in some situations where I am too busy to visit my 'feeds' page in time, by the time I finally have time to visit the 'feeds, most times the reblogged notice which enables me to know those who had reblogged my post on the' feeds' page has been so much buried by other posts that trying to dig it up becomes almost impossible.
When I don't finally get to know those who reblogged my posts, I may not see a good reason to reciprocate the favor in time, unless only on exceptional cases.
This hinders the principle of reciprocity and therefore proper social networking.
Solution/my suggestion
As solution to this identified issue, my suggestion is for a drop-down menu to be built on the on the author's blog page.
***This drop-down menu should be built in such a way that when it is clicked upon by the author whose post had been reblogged by some other authors, it would reveal the names of all authors that had reblogged that particular post starting from the past 5 days to present time. And will become unclickable once the author had received a payout on that specific post. See the image below to get a better details of what I meant
Conclusion/benefit
If this suggestion is considered, it would help authors not to miss the opportunity of knowing all the authors that had reblogged their posts. This is because even if the notice had been buried too deep to be accessible on the 'feeds' page, the author still have the option of clicking the reblog button built on his/her blog page.
This would have overall positive effect on social networking ideals upon which the platform is built opon through encouraging reciprocity. Thanks for reading
